Pre-FEED Study Negage Field, Angola

A pre-FEED study for deep-water offshore license area 'Negage'. Water Depth (m) 1395.

Conceptual Design for Tie-back of gas cap to existing facilities including completion design, subsea system design, flowline design including flow assurance, and tie-back to FPSO. Work included developing cost estimates for development and operations

The development required 4 subsea wells and we implemented a flow assurance study and conceptual design of the subsea facilities and the evacultion system.

The purpose of the work was to evaluate the seismic, drilling and other oil and gas data associated with an extensive number of license areas both onshore and offshore in Angola and encompassing the Lower Congo and Kwanza Basins. The project was designed to establish if they contained exploitable contingent natural gas resources. All of the blocks had either been explored or developed for the production of oil by International Oil Companies.

Detailed technical evaluations were conducted through geophysical and geological analysis of the available data. Where justified, these initial evaluations were followed by conceptual field development planning and economic assessments to establish if exploitable contingent natural gas resources could be identified in the license areas.

The work was conducted in accordance with the PRMS standards and was designed to evaluate if Angola could establish an economic gas gathering network to feed natural gas to, yet to be established downstream industries including petrochemicals and domestic power generation.
