We developed and gave a 5-day Exploration and Production Operations Workshop for a delegation of six senior government officials involved in a specific country's oil and gas licensing and contract monitoring operations.
The aim of the workshop was to educate the delegation on the various stages of the exploration and production associated with oil and gas projects as well as introducing them to the tools used to perform geophysical evaluation, geological and reservoir engineering modeling, independent cost estimation and auditing, and valuation of such projects. The following topics were covered:
Over the course of the workshop reference was made to actual example projects that we had implemented as part of our experience portfolio.
The final days session was dedicated to working through a field development example with the group from inception through prospect assessment, exploration program development, resource determination, conceptual field development planning, cost estimation and property valuation. The final day included immersive cost estimation demonstrations using our NetCo$ter cost estimating system.
All delegates who participated in the program felt that the workshop was invaluable and that it would greatly assist them in implementing their future roles either as an officer in the Oil and Gas Ministry or the National Oil Company.
This course is available to be carried out at our offices for groups of up to six people contact us for more details
