Audit of Deep Water Field Development Plan, India

We were Contracted to audit the Field Development Plan for several oil and gas and non-associated gas fields located in deep water in the Krishna Govinda basin off the east coast of India. The audit considered all aspects of the development including the verification of: reserves, development costs, operating costs, schedule and economic performance.

Key elements of the work included:

• A critique of the proposed subsea development solution;
• An audit of the FEED package
• An independent assessment of the reserves basis for development (a total of 10 oil and non-associated gas field were assessed);
• Review of attribute analysis performed by the Contractor to guide well targeting;
• A detailed review of the petrophysical assessment performed by the Contractor;
• Identification of the key risks associated with the development and a ranking by potential impact.

The Operator of the project carried out several optimisation studies following our recommendation to reduce project risk and development costs.
