Consultancy forms the backbone of our practice, supported by mapping & data services, and report publication. We cater primarily to the upstream sector carrying out reserves assessments, field development planning , and field evaluations, although we also get involved in mid and downstream projects such as the economic viability studies of onshore petrochemical and refinery plants. In most of our projects we deploy an INTEGRATED team of subsurface and surface technical specialists, supported by software appropriate to the discipline and task in hand. The mix of specialists deployed depends entirely on the task to be implemented and client requirements.

We are based in the UK but have an international focus having conducted projects in North Africa, Middle East, Former Soviet Union, UK Sector North Sea, West Africa, Europe and Central Asia. Our involvement has included both offshore and onshore projects. Much of the work we have done in these regions has focused on major or giant fields and we count Umm Shaif, Tengiz, Lower Zakum, Karachaganak, Bab, Kashagan, Shah, Zelten/Nasser amongst the portfolio of giant fields were we have been called up on to perform reserves assessment and field development planning.

The division of disciplines within our practice can be broadly divided between the following fields: Geophysics, Geology, Reservoir Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Process Engineering, Cost Engineering & Economics. All these disciplines work in an integrated manner very much in line with the methods and practices adopted by oil companies in conducting their technical and commercial assessments. Our team has particular experience in assessing giant fields, highly sour and sour fields, heavy oil developments and,possibly unusually for a consultancy based in the UK, particular experience of onshore oil field development in a variety of locations including Former Soviet Union, Middle East, West Africa, Continental Europe and North Africa

We produce a range of strategic reports covering North Africa and the Middle East. Our reports to date cover the upstream oil and gas resources of Iraq and Algeria with proposals for the enhancement of their future value. We are currently in the process of writing a similar report on the oil resources of Libya expected to be available by the end of 2007. We are also able to offer tailored reports to Clients interested in specific regions and fields within these countries.
